授業概要 This class is designed as a higher-level discussion class organized around a variety of topics. 授業の進め方 Students will receive prints, newspaper and magazine articles as well as rely upon their own experiences and knowledge. The class will stress class participation.

成績評価の方法 Points will be awarded according to students' ability to communicate at an intelligent level (describing and discussing),and at a level of presentation. Grading: communicative ability (50%), presentation(30%), and homework(including exams)(20%)
学生へのメッセージ The class will stress class participation. Perfect English is not required but since presentations and Q&A participation account for the majority of marks, inability to particpate at an appropriate level will result in failure.
